About the Role

This is an exciting time for headspace Mount Gambier and a great opportunity for you to be a part of a growing, dynamic and supportive team of professionals providing youth mental health support and intervention. This role is responsible for:

  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments of young people prsenting to the service and ensuring clients' safety is maintained at all times
  • Work with young people on an individual and group basis
  • Providing guidance and interventions that will enable young people  to address mental health and wellbeing needs
  • Refer young people to internal and external services as appropriate and provide follow up support

About You

You will have demonstrated experience working with Youth as well as:

  • A minimum of Certificate IV in Youth Work or Community Services
  • Ability to communicate and engage with a wide range of people
  • Experience in working with young people and familes and knowledge of adolescent development
  • Ability to develop and deliver group based skills training to assist clients' psychosocial functioning
