About the Role.


Do you have a desire to help young people develop healthy relationships with their family and community? If so we currently have casual youth worker positions available with the potential for permanency.


Ruby’s aims to prevent youth homelessness by providing a therapeutic service in the areas of family relationships and sexual abuse, through the provision of counselling, case management, accommodation and case work services. We offer a safe place for the young person to stay, spending some nights at Ruby’s and some at home where appropriate


Your key responsibilities as a Ruby’s youth worker will include but are not limited to;

  • Engaging with young people and their families through a therapeutic, strengths-based approach
  • Facilitating a supportive environment for young people and their families
  • Supporting young people to engage with the community
  • Contributing to the upkeep and coordination of the Ruby’s house

Ruby’s is a 24/7 residential setting and we will require successful candidates to be available and willing to work across a variety of shifts including weekends and overnight.
