About the Role


Uniting Communities has an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Outreach Worker to join our Mount Gambier Aboriginal Community Connect team on a Casual basis. If this sounds like you please read on;


As an Outreach worker, working within the Alcohol and other Drugs team, you will provide intensive outreach support service to Aboriginal individuals and families.


Responsibilities and duties may include:

  • Provide intensive outreach support service to Aboriginal people, whereby health information and appropriate referrals are provided to Aboriginal people in their own environments 
  • Ensure that clients receive quality care service;
  • Utilise a client-focussed approach with all stakeholders
  • Work from community development approaches;
  • Provide intensive outreach support at ACC AOD houses
  • Deliver health promotion projects; and
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and community groups. 

The successful applicant will possess a passion and commitment for helping Aboriginal individuals and families to make  long-term change and have a desire to work in an integrated manner with other team members and external services to achieve this. They will be willing to work within Uniting Communities' philosophy and values.



Salary will be reflective of your experience and qualifications

The Salary range will be dependent on experience and/or qualifications.
