About The Role

New ROADS is an alcohol and other drugs residential rehabilitation, and counselling service. You will have the opportunity to be a part of a growing, dynamic and supportive service of professionals providing holistic and innovative drug and alcohol counselling and case management. The Case Worker will:

  • Work across a 24/7 shift work roster
  • Provide intensive support, case work and case management to New ROADS clients
  • Support the Counsellor/Case Manager to facilitate therapeutic activities
  • Take a holistic approach with clients in a residential rehabilitation and continuum of care model including working proactively to assist them to connect with services within the local community
  • develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • help to break down the stigma associated with AOD and mental health issues


About You

You will have professional experience in case work and community work with a sound knowledge of AOD, co-morbidity, addiction and homelessness issues; demonstrated professional case work experience, knowledge of best practice therapeutic approaches relevant to AOD, mental health and comorbidity services; an understanding of the principles of recovery oriented rehabilitation and experience in assessment, case planning, case management and case coordination
