Position Summary

Uniting Communities is seeking Psychosocial Support Workers to join our team working in the metropolitan area. These are permanent client linked positions working primarily with our NDIS and IPRSS customers. There will be guaranteed hours of work (usually 15 -30 hours per week) with additional flexible hours. We are looking for availability for evening and weekend work, as well as standard hours.

About The Role

Our services deliver a range of recovery orientated community mental health services by walking alongside people experiencing mental illness, family and friends who care for them, and the broader community.


Support Workers will build respectful and compassionate relationships with participants and follow support plans. This may include assisting them to attend appointments, provision of transport, and enhancement of daily living skills.

About You 

  • Certificate IV Mental Health
  • Sound knowledge of mental health and related comorbidities and the associated impacts on individuals, carers and community
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Current Drivers License and willingness to use own vehicle
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate
  • Availability to work across a range of shifts throughout the week/weekend

The Salary range will be dependent on experience and/or qualifications.
